من هذه اللمحة المتيسرة لدينا عن أبي بكر الماذرائيّ يمكن أن نقول إنَّه عن واحد من الشخصيات المهمة الذي عمل وزيراً وكاتباً ومشرفاً على أعمال مصر والشام , ومتولياً لخراج مصر , ذهب إلى مصر مع والده أحمد بن علي الماذرائيّ وأخاه أبو الطيب سنة 272ه/886م ومن هنا بدأ الماذرائيون يشتهرون بمصر , ولديه صفات وفضائل وأموال لم يملكها أحد إلاّ أنَّه قد صُدِرَتْ أمواله من خلال ولاية الخراج , واصبح لديه أعداء إلاّ أنَّه استطاع أنَّ ينافسهم , ويزيل خطرهم , وعندما سقطت الدولة الطولونية , وقامت الدولة الاخشيدية , استمر ابو بكر الماذرائيّ وزيراً للإخشيد وابنه أنوجور بن الاخشيد , وتوفي في مصر في شهر شوال سنة 345ه/957م.
